ICBC Covered Treatment

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident the first thing you will need to do is report a claim on the ICBC website or by phone to receive a claim number. With ICBC’s Enhanced Accident Benefits policy, as of May 1st 2021, you are automatically eligible to receive 25 sessions of physiotherapy with your claim number.
 
Your physiotherapist will gather relevant history and complete a thorough assessment to identify parts of your body that have been injured in the accident. Following the assessment, the physiotherapist will use evidence-based techniques to treat your injuries with a goal of returning to work as early as possible. You will also be given an exercise prescription to maintain recovery outside of the clinic.

FAQ

No referral is necessary for a physiotherapy treatment. All our physiotherapist are trained to do their own full body assessments post accident. If you are being treated for an ICBC claim, you will be given a claim number which you must bring to your appointment.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for your initial appointment to complete necessary paperwork. All our treatments can range from 30 to 60 minutes. All appointments are one-on-one hands on time with your physiotherapist. The number of sessions you’ll need depends on your condition. During the initial visit your therapist will assess you, determine your treatment plan and discuss this with you after the assessment.

  • Care Card
  • Doctor’s note (if you have one).
  • Wear clothing appropriate to the type and area of injury (shorts and a t-shirt or tank top is usually sufficient).

All our physiotherapist are approved by ICBC and are trained to perform the most evidence-based treatment available.
